Do I have to attend both the main event and the squad strike?
No. Admission includes entry to both, but you don't have to participate in both. Please indicate whether you will be attending the squad strike below.
Do spectators have to pay?
No. Spectators are welcome to come along for free. They will still be required to sign in following our COVID-Safe rules.
Will there be prizes for the winner?
Yes. Prizes at the moment are TBD, but the winner will walk away with more than bragging rights.
What COVID-Safe measures will be put in place?
The room within the Clive Berghofer Recreation Centre that is used will depend on attendance. This is to ensure we follow the 4² metre rule. Social distancing will be required where possible. Hand sanitiser will be provided to all players for before and after games. All players will need to bring their own controller.
Will I need to bring a set-up?
Potentially. If numbers reach a point where we can no longer provide using our gear, then certain players may be asked to bring set-ups.
What will the format of the main event be? How many games will I get to play?
The main event will start with a round-robin format. Players will play within their pools (BO3 games) until every player has played every other player in their pool. The tournament will then progres to the finals bracket. The top players in each of the pools will form the finals bracket. Finals games will be BO3 until the top 4, which will be BO5.
Can I pay at the door?
No. Registration must be done online. However, registration won't close until just before the main event starts.
